Com.Sridharan and Co.Somnath Mukherjee, it is great to see that the CHQ is using the latest IT facilities for publishing the submitted memorandum on Website. As far as the memorandum is concerned, it is quite exhasutive in nature and is also effectively detailing the justified demands of the Postal employees in front of the 6th CPC.I am extremely hopeful that the negotiation will be successful.

WHILE APPRECIATING THE CHQ EFFORTS WRTO VI PAY COMMISSION REPORTS, I LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMISSION REGARDING CURTAILMENT OF CLOSED HOLIDAYS HAS NOT YET ENGAGED A SERIOUS NOTICE. ISSUE THOUGH APPEARS SMALL WILL LEAD TO SUFFOCATE OUR INDIAN CULTURE. THEREFORE, DUE NOTICE OF IT MAY KINDLY BE TAKEN.
REGARDING, PAY SCALES TO PO & RMS ACCOUNTANTS, THE HISTORY IS BEING REPEATED. DURING V PAY COMMISSION ALSO SEPARATE PAY SCALE WAS DEMANDED. LATER ON DEMAND WAS DILUTED FOR THREE INCREMENTS. THEN IT WAS REDUCED TO TWO INCREMENTS. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. ONLY THING HAPPENED WAS THAT THE SPECIAL PAY WAS NOMENCLATED AS SPECIAL ALLOWANCE - BARRING IT TO COUNT FOR FIXATION OF PAY ON PROMOTION. THINGS ARE OCCURRING BY ITSELF. IT IS BETTER TO GIVE UP ANY SEPARATE DEMANDS FOR ACCOUNTANTS. IT IS A DYING CADRE. NO BODY IS INTERESTED TO TAKE UP ACCOUNTANT'S EXAMINATION. IN FUTURE, PERHAPS THERE WILL NOT BE ANY NEW ACCOUNTANTS.
