CABINET SECRETARY HAS WRITTEN D.O LETTERS TO SECRETARIES OF EACH AND EVERY
MINISTRY AS WELL AS THE CHIEF SECRETARIES OF STATE GOVERNMENTS ETC ON ZERO TOLERANCE TOWARDS CORRUPTION
IT CAN BE UNDERSTOOD THAT THE RECENT ARREST OF CHIEF POSTMASTER GENERAL MAHARASHTRA FOLLOWING THE TWO CRORES CORRUPTION CHARGES PROMPTED THE HIGHEST OFFICER
Cabinet Secretary has stated "Integrity, honesty, objectivity, impartiality, transparancy, accountability and devotion to duty are the core values which civil servants should cherish and which should form an integral part of our decisions and actions".
Cabinet Secretary also emphasised that corruption should be addressed squarely and fairly - and - Preventive Vigilance to be strengthened.
Cabinet Secretary has underlined that transparancy must be introuduced in the decision making and in all our systems - Will the Postal Board accept this direction of the Cabinet Secretary and will function with transparancy in its decision making process? Will it come forward to involve the Staff Side also on important issues before taking decisions in a transparant manner instead of rushing with implementations unilaterally and without any transparancy that led to the story in Maharashtra involving a high officer in large scale corruption?
