Sub: - Non holding of Departmental Council Meeting – regarding

A kind attention is invited to the discussion held in the last JCM Departmental Council Meeting held on 27.08.2010 in which, you have declared to convene the Department Council Meeting within fifteen days in order to discuss the left out items which was due to paucity of time.

However, no meeting has been notified over these eight months and two meetings are becoming due during this period. It is pertinent to mention that the Chair Person of the JCM National Anomaly Committee Meeting in the meeting held on 15.2.2011conveyed that comprehensive instructions have already been issued to all Ministries/Departments to ensure Meetings of the Departmental Council are held as per the mandate of the JCM scheme and sought information from the staff side about non functioning of Department Council in any department vide its OM F.No 11/2/2008 – JCA dated 21.4.2011.

If the departmental council meetings are held periodically, many issues would have been sorted out amicably which will ensure peace and tranquility in the service.

It is requested once again to kindly convene the departmental council meeting at the earliest.
