PAY COMMISSION - ANOMALIES IN POSTAL

Dear Comrades,

 

The Committee set up by the Secretary Department of Posts to look into the issues arising out of Pay Commission's Report headed by the DDG [Estt] has invited the Staff Side for discussion on 4.4.2008. We would like to request the Committee to treat this as a preliminary discussion to enable us to come again with  our concrete proposals. Any way Comrades are requested to send in their feed back if any to the Federation and respective CHQs through email or comments to blog or through SMS etc.

DEAR COMRADE,

I AM WORKING AT TTP HO AS DEPUTY SYSTEM MANAGER UNDER PATTUKOTTAI DN,NOW MY SUGGESSION FOR DSM/SAs a Separate Pay scale will be fixed and all existing DSM/SAs to be accepted( don't fixed any qualification )and posted this Post and also new SAs to recruit with proper trainig candidate to the Post from the direct recruitment.

Then DSM/SAs promotion to higher pay scale will be fixed.and Tour TA (daily)no limitation for the DSM/SA. Working norms will be fixed.(Because of particluar juristiction will be fixed now no juristiction for DSM/SA attended the fault and computerised office.

Dear Comrade,

Kindly stress on the following points :-
1.Getting a seperate higher scale for the System Administrators.
2. Demand SDA for all employees currently posted in the NE Region and remove the "Transfer Posting" clause from the eligibility.
3. Strongly Demand arrear on HRA and other allowances.
4. Demand revision of Monthly Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance rates to atleast 4 times which does not seem to be factually hiked w.r.t. current expenses actually made.

demand Demand SDA for all employees currently posted in the NE Region. It seems to be reported in the commission that SDA will be admissible only on transfer.

Dear Comrade,
1. The PO & RMS accountants are being selected by an examination. But they are getting only Rs. 180 and it is going to be doubled. The very purpose of selection of qulaified accountants through an examination is defeated by the govt by giving such a small amount of remuneration in the shape of an allowance. Hence , it may by calculated for pay fixation and all other purposes.

2. The system managers are working in the extended hours even in the holidays rather than other officials.As there is no specific pay scales in the present recommendation, a special allowance
of Rs.2500 + a fixed conveyance allowance of Rs. 2500 may be given.

3. The dispairity between the grade pay , amongst the Pay bands must be abolished. The grade pay may be designed according to service seniority. e.g.5,10,15,20 yrs.

4. The entitlements such as journey by air should be extended to all , by taking in to account of the less flight fare in comparison with train fare.

5. The encashment of EL in service should be stressed.

dear comrade,

1. At present the System Managers are being entrusted with the heavy workload of computerisation of all sub offices in every division. often they perform normal counter duties and perform the duty of SM in addition to their alloted counter/ back office duty but they are not adequetely compenstated for their excess work.

Futher, they are responsible for safety of all data of the offices which is not entrusted to any one else.

Hence, seperate higher scale at par with the IPOs should be given to them.

2. The discriminatory grant of rate of increment will definitely bring in favouritism in the department. The employees of S.O. will always be deprived.

3. Similarly, higher scale should be awarded to the Marketing Executives too who are unreasonably pressurised to procure more business wothout any adequate compenstaion.

4. Allowance should be given as fixed telephone charges/conveyance charges to the SM/SA who always have to keep in touch with all office for safe keeping of data and normal office functioning.

Kindly take a initiative /demonstration to fill all vacant Gr'D post by DPC from elegible GDS employee. If the Pay Commission accepted by Govt , then all the Gr,D post will be abolished. Please take this initiative at Directorate level.
